Location: Volume 1, page vii:

Error & Correction: The Table of Contents should contain only one entry (not two) for "Chapter 5: City of Destiny."

Location: Volume 1, page 101:

Error & Correction: The phrase "in Yorktown" is incorrect and should read: "in Jamestown"

Location: Volume 1, page 135:

Error & Correction: Two photos appear on this page. The one in which Stan wears a beret should appear first and have the following caption: "Barbara, Shana, and Stan on a dock on Lake Union." The other photo should appear second and have this caption: "Barbara, Shana, and Stan on the deck of Ora Elwell, 1972."

Location: Volume 1, pages 250-251:

Error & Correction: The photograph of Bob Williams, Byron Berline, and Phil Williams should appear after the end of the first paragraph on page 251, after the words "drugstore cowboys."

Error & Correction: The caption for the third photograph should read, "Vivian, Loren Wohlgemuth, Sam Bush, Paul Wiley."

Error & Correction: The end of the first sentence at the top of the page reads, “a club just off Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, on about First and Main.” This should read, “a club in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, at First Avenue and Washington Street.”

Error & Correction: In the first complete paragraph, we see, “could fit 250 people”; this should read, “could fit sixty to eighty people”

Error & Correction: Footnote 32 states that the Folklore Society Journal article is reproduced in the Appendix. This statement is incorrect; the article is actually reproduced on the very next page, p. 479.

Error & Correction: The phrase, “descendents of the Thursday-night” should read, “descendents of the Tuesday-night”

Location: Volume 2, page 621:

Error & Correction: In the center of the page, we have this phrase: “new licks and complex variations on simple tunes.” This phrase should be surrounded by em-dashes (with no spaces) instead of with en-dashes (with spaces).
